Missed it by that much

We're Cowboy fans in the NY metropolitan area, and most of our friends are rabid Giants fans, so watching the Giants in the SB is tough.. Last night, I found myself *almost* rooting for them because they really did play a good game, and with two minutes left, all they had to do was kick a field goal and I'd win $100. We were in one of those pools where you put in $2 per box (we're not high rollers) and based on the numbers you have and the score, you win. Anyway, all they had to do was come down the field and kick a field goal. The announcers said they would stop at the one yard line and kick a field goal rather than score a TD so they could run out the click. The guy with the ball tried to stop and fell in the end zone. Final result - Giants win and I miss out on the $100. Blah!

One of my re-listed eBay items sold for $3 + shipping, so that was a bright spot...

    But just think . . . forever more it will be known as the Superbowl won by a game winning accidental "plop" into the end zone.

    Still laughing about it a day later. :-)

    And all the Pats had to do was get that last touchdown and I would have $250. Oh well, I didn't care if I won or lost anyway. I didn't even watch the game. Smile
