Still Sick

Home from work again today. The doctor gave me some horse-sized antibiotic yesterday. I'm on Day 2 of 7...hopefully I'll kick this soon. In the meantime, I'm taking DS to the doctor today. He's still coughing, and I want it checked out in case he needs an antibiotic as well. I hope this isn't a foreshadowing of winter.

I did, however, have the chance to sit in bed and go through the huge packet of coupons Flash sent with the trains. I thought the complaints about expired coupons was overblown until I threw out at least 500 hundred of them! I was going to go back through the garbage can and count them, but it wasn't worth the effort. They're all fixed now and ready to go.

I got the $10 Pepsi Labor Day rebate yesterday, so anyone else waiting on it -hang in there, you should get it soon.

    There's a thread over in the Coupon Exchange forum about uses for expired coupons, located here: http://www.savingadvice.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13614

    ...and several posters have mentioned that there is a store named, "CUB" which apparently accepts coupons for two months past their expiration date. I'm not familiar with the details of this, but have read this in a few threads about expired coupons.

    I am stil sick to so I commiserate. I absolutely had to go to work today. I also have to go to a town hall meeting tonight when all I want to do is sleep.

    Overseas military members can use coupons at their commissaries (grocery stores) for up to six months past the coupon expiration date. Maybe some of those expired coupons can be sent to a point of contact who can forward them?

    I too got my Pepsi Labor Day Rebate in only 4 weeks - pretty fast for Pepsi, I was surprised.
