Shoprite had some awesome sales this week. Great prices, and I had coupons for most items. Even better - I finally got into internet coupons! I looked over my list, and for anything I didn't have a coupon for, I went to either coupons.com or directly to the product's website, and pulled down a bunch more coupons. Made for a great trip. Here are the highlights:

The challenge is on! I thoroughly cleaned out my pantry and fridge of all expired items. (Including molasses that expired in 2008 - can you tell we don't use that very often?!). I still have to do the freezer, which I'll do tomorrow. I've written down everything I have and what expires when, so I can make a game plan for using it up and cutting down the waste. I also made a roaster chicken for dinner tonight, and took a page from Robin's book...I have enough left over for dinner tomorrow, and I threw the carcass and some veggies in the crockpot to make soup.

Hubby went to Target today to get a birthday gift and some other things. I had the $15/$30 rebate from Offermatic (thanks Petunia), so I'll let you all know if/how long it takes to come through.

So all in all a great weekend, and a day off tomorrow to boot! Woohoo!
